North Tyneside Council declared a climate emergency in 2019 and are committed to ensuring everything possible is done to reduce the borough’s carbon footprint.

As part of this commitment the council is working closely with businesses and residents to take action on climate change.

We developed a behavioural change campaign to encourage local businesses and residents to make small and simple changes to reduce their environmental impact.

The campaign features climate action pledges combined with photography of local residents and bespoke illustrations, alongside a thought provoking call-to-action to create a direct and bold message that runs across social media platforms, street advertising and printed materials.

North Tyneside Council

As part of the Council’s work towards being carbon net-zero by 2030 we had big ambitions for a large, cross channel behaviour change campaign. This was a tricky, complex brief with many partners to keep happy – Twentyseven’s approach was thorough, refreshing and extremely supportive.

The campaign they have created is clean, crisp and really helps deliver our messages, it has been created in a way that allows us to feature local people and local stories whilst being impactful and delivering our overall vision.
We receive so many positive comments about the campaign from members of the public, visitors and businesses who spot it across our Borough whilst they are out and about. It really is raising awareness of the climate change whilst highlighting small changes everyone can make to be greener.
